Die galvanische Isolation verhindert die Ausbreitung transienter Fehler zwischen Kanälen und Systemzweigen. Bei ausfallsicheren Übergängen gewährleistet das Modul ein deterministisches Ausgangsverhalten und damit vorhersehbare Betätigungszustände, selbst wenn ein oder mehrere Zweige in einen eingeschränkten Zustand übergehen. Der überwachte Modus ermöglicht eine kontinuierliche Leitungsüberwachung auf Unterbrechungen, Kurzschlüsse oder Lastfehler.
