Ovation is a brand of distributed control system (DCS) manufactured by Emerson. DCS is a type of computer system used to control large, complex industrial processes. Ovation systems are specifically designed for the power generation and water/wastewater treatment industries.
Westinghouse was historically a major manufacturer of electrical equipment, including industrial automation products. In 2006, the Westinghouse Automation business unit was acquired by Emerson and is now part of the Emerson Automation Solutions division.
