Ovation is a brand of distributed control system (DCS) manufactured by Emerson. DCS is a type of computer system used to control large, complex industrial processes. Ovation systems are specifically designed for the power generation and water/wastewater treatment industries.
Westinghouse was historically a major manufacturer of electrical equipment, including industrial automation products. In 2006, the Westinghouse Automation business unit was acquired by Emerson and is now part of the Emerson Automation Solutions division. So, while you might find Westinghouse-branded automation products, they are essentially Emerson products.
Rosemount is another brand of Emerson Automation Solutions. Rosemount manufactures pressure, temperature, level, flow, and other instrumentation for process industries. These instruments are often used in conjunction with DCS systems like Ovation.
