The S800 I/O is a comprehensive, distributed, and modular process I/O system designed to communicate with parent controllers and PLCs over industry-standard field buses.

The TB820V2 ModuleBus Modem serves as a fiber optic interface to the ModuleBus. It features both electric and optical interfaces, which represent the same logical bus.

The TB820V2 ModuleBus Modem allows for the connection of up to 12 I/O modules to the electrical ModuleBus. Additionally, it supports the connection of up to seven clusters to the fiber optic ModuleBus.

The fiber optic interface provided by the TB820V2 ModuleBus Modem is primarily intended for local distribution of I/O clusters and situations where more than 12 I/O modules are required in an I/O station.
